Littleton Real Estate & Community Information

Like many communities around Dennver, the City of Littleton can trace its roots back to the gold rush days of the 1850's.  Named for one of it's early settlers, Richard Sullivan Little a young civil engineer from New Hampshire, who came to the area after learning about opportunities in the new Colorado gold fields.  Mr. Little soon fell in love with the area and later filed a home stake and other land claims in and around present day Littleton.  In 1872 the Littles filed a plat to subdivide much of their property in to the village of Littleton.  In 1890, the village residents voted to incorporate the town of Littleton, later named a county seat bringing government employees, businesses and their families to the area.

Located just 15 miles south of downtown Denver, this region affords a scenic backdrop of the Rocky Mountains for the homes and properties that comprise the Littleton area, as well as a variety of activities and local attractions for the active lifestyle.  Known for its rich history, Today, the City of Littleton  remains commited to its residents and visitors alike.
